Pacificraft Custom Wood Designs, Inc.
2nd Tier Management Concepts, Inc has been for us at Pacificraft Custom Wood Designs, Inc. a breath of fresh air. Having Don and his company restructure the way we run our organization, from top to bottom, has made going to work once again enjoyable. We now have procedures, and techniques in place for providing a product to our customers we can be proud of. All of our employees can now visbily see that we are determined and committed to becoming a top notch millwork company.
In the past we have had business consultants that have not understood the specific industry we are in, leading to major frustration on our part. When first considering 2nd T.M.C. we thought the end results would be the same; but boy were we wrong! After only a few short days, we could tell Don knew this industry inside out, and had the ability to teach us the correct way to run our business.
He has systematically changed or tweaked every department in our company in just the right amount to make an overall and major difference. I can personally say, as an owner of the company, that creating an alliance with 2nd T.M.C. has been the best investment we have ever made.

People say you cannot get first-class treatment in business these days. They are wrong, and you have proven it. I would like to thank you for the expedient manner your company performed the renovations in our kitchen after our disastrous flood.

I have known Don for decades and can attest to his world-class project management skills. I have worked with Don on projects ranging from custom millwork to house renovation to furniture restoration to independent film sets. He is not only expert in designing and managing projects but continues to be talented with his hands and tools, a master craftsman.
I have apprenticed to Don on a number of construction projects including those with custom woodwork, and we’ve also worked together on independent film set construction (he is excellent at making sets look good with limited funds). He has also worked as my Unit Production Manager for an Independent film that I produced, Remembrance.
He has successfully worked for me as a Unit Production Manager (U.P.M.) since that is essentially no different than a project to be managed, that is, dozens of details that all have to show up in the right sequence so that the next steps can get taken, and when things get out of order (as life tends to force upon a movie) you figure out what needs to be re-arranged so that the project (movie) continues. When tackling a task he operates in conscious steps directed towards a successful project with his proven methods.”
His critical path is time management. From the initial steps starting at the budget and engineering, to the production build-out, his quality control and preparation through completion is the essence of Don’s management style. I look forward to future film projects to do with him.

As a retired Marine Corp officer, I am critical of people who work with me on various building projects, especially those projects regarding my own home. Don Richman was introduced to me by a mutual friend to “save a home project” that was left in complete disarray! This project included a custom kitchen, office and bathroom cabinetry and millwork.
Mr. Richman through his knowledge in the millwork industry, organizational skills and tenacity gave me a completed project, that I am more than completely satisfied with. I have since and will continue to recommend him to others.

Words cannot fully explain what Don has done for me. When the construction economy died in 2008, so did my company or at least I thought. With debt and depression all around, Don uplifted me from the darkness and into the light. In ninety days he facilitated a total transformation of my company in almost every way possible. From project management to the job books and overhead realizations, I could go on for hours about how Don saved not only my company but also myself.
In short Don is the most valuable tool I have ever used, times ten! He is a great mentor and a “One Stop Shop for Information.” Don; thanks for everything.
